The Metro Seniors Board established the Herb Walker Award in 2024 to honor Past President Herbert Walker, who served in multiple leadership and committee roles.
Eligibility
Open to all Metro Seniors members (Divisions 1 – 5).
Must play at least 70% of rounds scheduled in their division. For a 26-week season, this equals 18 rounds, reduced by one for each rainout.
No minimum rounds from the prior year are required.
Selection
One finalist from each division (lowest net average).
Overall winner (lowest net average among finalists) receives an inscribed Crystal Trophy.
Each finalist receives a framed certificate.
Administration
Managed by the Championship Committee.
Scores from all completed weeks are used.
Participation percentage confirmed before eligibility.
Award recognizes the most consistent player demonstrating commitment to Metro Seniors, in the spirit of Herb Walker.
