So please explain Championship Standings and how it works. How many rounds have to be played in order to qualify and why is the previous year used in calculating? Thanks!
Hi Chuck,
A minimum of 12 rounds have to be played by the member in the current year. For returning members, a minimum of 7 rounds must have been played during the previous year. This is done so that the member’s handicap is more stabilized and/or realistic. The 7 rounds is not used in the calculations, it is used as a point of qualification.
